Salary range: $74,802.00 - $82,504.50 based on experience
Hours Per Week: Scheduled for 8 hours per day with a 30 min unpaid lunch break.
Salary is based on 37.5 paid hours per week. Scheduled hours to be flexed Monday - Friday between the hours of 10:00 am and 8:00 pm. Hours may vary with notice.
Please note that this position is available for one year only. Hired candidates will be displaced from the position for the following year. This position has an anticipated start date of January 15, 2025.

General Description:
The Community Programs Coordinator provides efficient and effective support to all programs run through the Watertown Community Education Department.
Responsibilities:
- Assists with monitoring the designated program entry and exit doors as needed following WPS protocols for visitors.
- Provides support to Director of Community Education and Assistant Director of Community Education in planning, advertising, and running full-day February and April vacation week programs, six-week, full-day summer program, summer enrichments, after school enrichment programs, adult and community education offerings, and/or any other programs run through Watertown Community Education.
- Fills in for the Extended Day Site Coordinator position as needed.
- Flexible in working directly with student groupings to cover staff absences and provide direct support to staff and students.
- Assists in providing training to Community Education staff.
- Assists in maintaining records, managing registration databases, scheduling staff, creating newsletters, and communicating effectively with staff and families.
- May be required to assist with the set up of and entrance procedures for evening courses.
- Attends monthly meetings with the Director and Community Education leadership team.
- Must be able to commute between Watertown School locations as needed each day.
- Tasks, responsibilities, and work location may vary on a day-to-day basis.
- Performs other duties and assumes such other responsibilities that may be assigned by the Director of Community Education or his/her designee.
Qualifications Required:
- Associate's Degree required.
- Experience supervising children.
- Willing to adjust to the changing needs of the programs, with the flexibility to meet those work needs and demands.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to relate well to children, parents, families, the community, school personnel, and staff.
- Must be able to work cooperatively with others to achieve common goals.
- Must have a general pleasant demeanor and a respectful attitude towards employees at all levels of the school.
- Certified in First Aid/CPR (opportunities to become certified will be provided).
- Experience with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel.
- Experience with GoogleSuite including Google Docs, Google Sheets, and Google Slides.
Preferred:
- An Associate's Degree or higher in Child Development, Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Special Education, Human Services, or a related field is preferred.
- At least two years of experience working with elementary school-age children is preferred.
- Spanish and/or Portuguese language skills preferred.
