General Description:
The Team Assistant will play a key role in supporting the team’s logistics, ensuring smooth
practices and events, and assisting with various administrative tasks. This position is ideal
for someone with a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a passion for helping student-
athletes succeed both on and off the field.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the coaching staff with team logistics, including organizing equipment, setting
- up practice sessions, and coordinating transportation for games and events.
- Help maintain team rosters, track attendance, and handle other administrative duties
- as needed.
- Ensure that all equipment and facilities are properly set up and maintained during
- practices and events.
- Provide support during practices and games, including assisting with drills, keeping
- track of player performance, and ensuring the safety of athletes.
- Foster a positive and supportive environment for athletes, promoting teamwork and
- sportsmanship.
- Communicate effectively with coaches, athletes, and other school staff to ensure the
- smooth running of the program.
- Assist with team communications, including reminders for practices, games, and
- meetings.
- Support the overall goals of the athletic program and contribute to a productive,
- positive team atmosphere.
Qualifications Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- CPR Certified
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- A commitment to the academic and athletic development of student-athletes.
- Ability to react to change productively and manage multiple responsibilities.
Preferred:
- Previous experience in a support or assistant role in sports or athletics is a plus, but
not required.
