Position: 2025 Summer Explorations Program High School Assistants

Location: Hosmer Elementary School in Watertown, MA

Dates: July 7, 2025 - August 15, 2025 (Mandatory orientation meeting June 10, 2025 from 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm)
Schedule: Various shifts available: Morning Shifts 8:15 AM - 12:45 PM, Afternoon Shifts 12:30 PM - 5:45 PM, and Full-Day Shifts 8:15 AM - 5:45 PM
Pay Rate: $17.00 per hour 

 

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide support to one or more groups in preparing materials for activities, setting up/cleaning up activities, and assisting lead instructors as needed.
• Provide supervision to students ranging in age/grade from kindergarten through grade 5.
• Must maintain daily attendance records including accurate student counts following name-to-face attendance taking protocols.
• The High School Asssistant may also be assigned other duties by the Site Coordinator or Community Education Director or Assistant Director.  

Professional Commitment:

 

The High School Assistant is required to fulfill the shifts they have committed to.  Staff who are not able to commit to regular, weekly shifts, may be offered positions in a substitute capacity with shifts and assignments that may vary from week to week.

 

 

Qualifications:

• 6 months of experience working with school-age children preferred
