Position: Head Volleyball Coach (SY 26-27) (Stipend) 

Department: Athletics 

Reports to: Director of Athletics              

Affiliation: Unit A, Section F

Salary range: $4,683.00 – $5,664.00 stipend

Time Commitment:

• Six days a week.
• Twenty to twenty-five hours a week.
• Three games a week.
• Season Length- August to November

Number of positions: 1

 

This is a stipend position.

 

SUMMARY: 

The Watertown Public Schools seeks an outstanding head volleyball coach to coach the varsity volleyball team for the 2026-2027 school year. WPS is dedicated to excellence, equity, and community. Be a part of creating a bright future for WPS students. 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Planning all areas of their team.
• Leading and assisting their coaching staff in coordinating efforts under one program goal and ensuring compliance with rules at all levels.
• Analyze game strategy.
• Implementation of skill development.
• Coverage on bus trips.
• Video analysis of games.
• Statistical analysis of games.
• Attend all league, local, district, and state meetings when necessary.
• Reaching out to local Youth Groups to promote their respective sport in town.
• Planning award ceremonies and individual award winners.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

• CPR certified.
• NFHS concussion course completed.

 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

• High School Diploma.
• A degree from an accredited college or university.
• Experience coaching volleyball
• Strong communication and leadership skills
