Dates: Monday - Thursday, July 8, 2024 - August 1, 2024 (4 days a week for a month)

Location: Hosmer  School

Rate of Pay: $35.00 per hour

Hours: 8:15-12:15 pm includes 30 min of prep a day

Additional days: 1 “day” (4hrs) one 1-hour orientation and includes program set up/clean up time. 

Additional paid time: There may be an additional weekly 30-minute faculty meeting at the discretion of the Director.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Teach grouping of students in grades K-5.  (Grouping would not exceed 10)

 

• Use Responsive classroom management - morning meeting and closing circle

• Conduct whole group and small group math lessons

• Follow a scripted curriculum for math

• Supplement the scripted curriculum with creative activities  

• Help with math interventions

• Attend pre-program training and weekly faculty meetings

 

 

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: 

 

• Experience working with elementary-grade students.

• Experience collaborating with colleagues  

• Familiarity with best practices in math instruction.

• Holds the belief that all children can learn and learn to read and write effectively  

• Familiarity with Responsive Classroom practices, language, and beliefs

 

 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

 

• A current Massachusetts Elementary Teaching License/Certification

• Three or more successful years of experience teaching elementary students in math preferred
